In 1975, with the strong backing of tobacco exporters, he founded Prakash Shipping Agencies. His 24x7 personal commitment to clients earned him industry respect and lifelong customer trust. His philosophy of never refusing a challenge became the foundation of our culture and inspired the enduring company motto: “We deliver results - not reasons.” Until his passing in 2015, at the age of 88, he remained actively involved in guiding the business, instilling values of perseverance, client care, and operational excellence.
A commerce graduate from Madras University, P. G. Sundarrajan joined the family business in 1976 at the age of 18, learning the trade from the ground up. With over four decades of experience, he possesses a solution for every logistics challenge. Currently, he is spearheading a strategic project aimed at reducing transaction costs for EXIM customers by 40%, while increasing transparency across operations.
Holding a Postgraduate degree in Finance and Management from the University of Strathclyde, Scotland, Balu S. Govindarajan joined the business in 2004, following in his father’s footsteps. A certified Lead Auditor for ISO 9001:2015 standards, he streamlined and consolidated internal processes, setting benchmark system standards for the company. He oversees daily operations, ensuring every export/import consignment is shipped or cleared promptly, with a focus on record turnaround times and complete customer satisfaction.
A Mechanical Engineering graduate turned Software Engineer, S. Gopalakrishnan entered the business in 2009, bringing a technology-first mindset to logistics operations.
